Girls Program
Through the Future Stars Cricket Foundation, we proudly provide a free girls cricket program that encourages young girls to learn the game, stay active, and grow through sport. Supported by the Future Cricket Stars Academy, this initiative is led by our team of ICC (International Cricket Council) certified coaches, ensuring high-quality training in a safe and welcoming environment. Our goal is to empower girls to build confidence, teamwork, and a lifelong passion for cricket — both on and off the field.
Our Story
The Future Stars Cricket Foundation was founded by Hamza Tariq with a clear vision — to give cricket a living spirit in Alberta, a province where the game once lacked a true foundation. What began as a personal mission has grown into a province-wide movement — one that empowers youth, celebrates diversity, and builds community through cricket. Hamza’s journey has been fueled by dedication, perseverance, and an unwavering belief that sport has the power to change lives. Through grassroots programs, school partnerships, and community initiatives, the Foundation continues to open doors for children and youth to learn, play, and grow — both on and off the field. This progress would not have been possible without the unwavering support of our sponsors, partners, and the incredible families who have stood by our side from the very beginning. Their trust, belief, and involvement have been the backbone of every milestone we’ve achieved. Together, we have created more than just programs — we have built a home for cricket in Alberta, where dreams take flight and the spirit of the game lives on.
Our Impact
At the Future Stars Cricket Foundation, impact goes far beyond the boundary. It’s seen in the confidence, teamwork, and resilience that our young players carry with them long after they leave the field. Every program we run is built to create opportunities — to help youth discover their potential, develop their skills, and find belonging through cricket. Among those who truly reflect this vision are Hajir Al-Ogaidi, Surpreet, Neha, and Navdeep — four outstanding young leaders whose journeys embody the Foundation’s mission. Through dedication, respect, and perseverance, they have grown into role models who inspire their peers, uplift their teams, and demonstrate the values of discipline and unity that cricket teaches. Their stories remind us why our work matters. When youth are supported by caring coaches, families, and a strong community, they don’t just learn the game — they learn leadership, confidence, and purpose. These individuals represent the heart of our impact and the future we strive to build for cricket in Alberta.
Our Mission
The Future Stars Cricket Foundation, in partnership with the Future Cricket Stars Academy, is proud to offer a Free Girls Cricket Program aimed at promoting participation, inclusion, and development in women’s cricket. The program takes place every Saturday from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Future Cricket Stars Academy and is open to girls of all ages and skill levels. Participants receive professional instruction from ICC (International Cricket Council) certified coaches, ensuring a high standard of training focused on both technical and personal growth. Through this initiative, the Foundation strives to provide a safe, supportive, and empowering environment where girls can learn the fundamentals of cricket, stay physically active, and develop confidence, teamwork, and leadership skills.
Our Achievements
The success of the Future Stars Cricket Foundation’s Girls Cricket Program is a story written by the girls themselves. Their passion, determination, and love for the game have been the driving force behind every milestone, trophy, and award earned through the program. Each achievement reflects hours of practice, teamwork, and unwavering commitment, guided by our ICC (International Cricket Council) certified coaches, yet fueled entirely by the girls’ heart and hard work. We celebrate not only the victories on the field but also the growth, confidence, and leadership these young athletes demonstrate every day. Their dedication is what makes this program thrive, and their spirit inspires the next generation of female cricketers to dream big and play with courage.
Those who made it possible!
